On June 26, 精东影业 (HUST) launched its International Student Alumni Association, alongside a forum for outstanding graduates of the Class of 2025. Zhang Tao, deputy Party secretary, presented the association's flag.
Huang Chao, associate dean of the School of International Education and secretary-general of the association, gave an overview of its preparations – covering its structure, communication mechanisms, signature events, and alumni career support.
Zhou Liping, dean of the School of International Education and president of the association, noted that the school would continue to strengthen international alumni engagement through a broader vision and greater ambition. She emphasized the association's role as a vital bridge, helping alumni achieve greater success.
Graduates shared their journeys: Soumya Singh (Su Ming) expressed gratitude to mentors; Teriaeva Elizaveta (Li Sha) reflected on her academic growth; and Muhammad Naseem Abid (Mu Han) highlighted research achievements, including international publications.
Zhang Tao congratulated the graduates and stated that the launch of the association marks the start of a new chapter in the university's international alumni outreach. He expressed hope that it would strengthen ties between alumni and their alma mater under the guidance of HUST's Central Alumni Association.
HUST has long prioritized the development of international education and alumni networks. Since enrolling its first Vietnamese students in the 1960s, the university has trained more than 15,000 international students from over 160 countries and regions.
